Will this prevent the crab grass from spreading? We bought a place that has nothing but craq grass and it is taking over the beautiful flower beds the previous owner planted and I don’t know how to stop it.

    Hi Jan!

    Thank you for your comment!

Unfortunately, edging a garden bed will not keep the crabgrass from spreading.

An organic way to choke out crabgrass is to let your lawn grow longer than usual. We recommend 3″ – 3.5″ in spring/fall and 4″ – 4.5″ in summer. Bonus: longer grass does not grow as quickly as shorter grass so you don’t have to mow as often!

    Hope this helps! Thanks!

    May all your gardens grow,
